Stories Told Exhibition
Poster for the first of a series of exhibitions featuring the stories and images of past explorers before they are lost in time. Image shows a man in a reindeer skin Anorak in 1930, Anorak is the Inuit word for a fur-hooded coat.
The poster is for Chapman’s exhibition. He was an arctic explorer, survival expert, and spent three years during WWii stuck in the Malayan jungle behind enemy lines. Chapman ate the still steaming kidneys of the freshly shot bear shown in the arms of an Inuit man in 1930.
